Everyone thinks they are good with people or that people issues can be easily handled. That is, until they become a manager of people. Personal Bios

John Wright

Partner
John never set out to be an HR professional. After earning his degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas, he spent 8 years in various diverse operational and manufacturing assignments at Hallmark Cards, and discovered he had a natural gift with people. He moved into HR at Hallmark and has since worked in HR and Organizational Development at Bard Medical. Additionally, he owned his own Third Party Benefits Administration practice. His most recent corporate position was a fulfilling 15 year career at Layne Christensen Company, a billion dollar publicly traded international company. There he served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources reporting to the CEO/President. John has experience in operational, divisional and corporate levels. He has a unique ability to assess people and situations, creating innovative and strategic solutions. BHRS is focused on these areas where John excels.

Gretchen Adamson

Partner
Gretchen attended the University of Kansas and earned a degree in Ecology. She discovered a career in HR in her first position out of college and spent 14 years developing an HR knowledgebase and skills while obtaining practical experience with a global company. While working at Layne Christensen Company, Gretchen obtained a Masters in Human Resources from Ottawa University in 2001. She held various roles and was involved in all areas of HR including; compensation, employee relations, training and development, organizational development, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits and compliance. Gretchen is passionate about enhancing the potential in others and creating positive work environments.

Tracy Wise

Affiliate - Consultant
Tracy spent the first part of her career as a production supervisor/manager.  After six years, she accepted a temporary assignment as an HR Manager and tasked with developing an HR department from scratch for a growing company.  Sixteen “temporary” years later, Tracy has worked in the HR field at a variety of companies, large and small, private and public, and in a variety of industries including retail, distribution, R&D medical equipment, and natural resources.   She has experience in all aspects of HR with a special interest in coaching, developing and strategic planning.
